Why use mwCMS? I mean it lacks features like
- news
- teaser
- hyperlink engine (nba.com => http://nba.com)
- acronym (NFL => acronym="National Football Leage")

Hi Buggy!

I am a big fan of YAML-Framework (Yet Another Multicolumn Layout, www.yaml.de). Also I like the MediaWiki because it can be used easily. Now the mwCMS combines both. With no other CMS I can use my layout (YAML) so simply with a CMS. Though there is no article administration, but a teaser can be used. For example: www.villip.de.

Another layout I created using YAML:

Yours sincerely
René

"It's not a bug, its' a feature!"  :)

You need programming skills (mod_rewrite, PHP, XHMTL, CSS and regular expressions) to install and use mwCMS.

These words are true. You really need programming skills. But if know your PHP, you will be able to write your own plugins or modify the parser. It's easily done.

Using mwCMS is like using Imperia or SAP: You need a few month (or years) to customize and use it properly. mwCMS is customized within hours.

There is nothing, which I can think of, that can't be done with mwCMS. Everything is possible if you write your own plugin or change the parser.

Best regards,
Claus
